Terms and Conditions – Phone Sales

1. Eligibility
To sell a device to UniverPhone, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old or obtain permission from a parent or legal guardian;
- Be the rightful owner of the device;
- Have the legal right to sell or transfer the device;
- Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
UniverPhone reserves the right to request valid identification as needed.
2. Evaluation of the device
The estimated amount displayed on the website or provided prior to the inspection is for informational purposes only.
The final value depends, in particular, on:
- of the model;
- storage capacity;
- the aesthetic condition;
- of the functional status;
- the battery’s condition;
- the presence of damage;
- the operator lock;
- activating accounts or security measures;
- market demand.
A final inspection will be conducted before the offer is confirmed.
3. Device Status
You are responsible for accurately reporting:
- visible damage;
- software issues;
- water leaks;
- previous repairs;
- the replaced parts;
- any operational issues.
If the actual situation differs from the information provided, UniverPhone may:
- adjust the suggested value;
- refuse the purchase;
- Return the device to the customer (return shipping charges may apply, if applicable).
4. Data Backup and Deletion
Before returning your device, you must:
- back up all your data;
- Remove your SIM cards and memory cards;
- disable linked accounts (Apple ID, Google, Samsung, etc.);
- disable any location or lock features (e.g., Find My iPhone / Find My Device);
- Reset the device if prompted.
UniverPhone is not liable for:
- data loss;
- the content remaining on the device;
- unclaimed accounts.
5. Verification of Ownership
By selling your device, you confirm that:
- the device is neither stolen nor obtained fraudulently;
- there is no active financing or outstanding balance associated with it;
- There are no disputes regarding ownership.
UniverPhone reserves the right to refuse any transaction it deems suspicious.
6. Offer and Acceptance
A transaction is considered concluded only when:
- The device has been received and inspected;
- The final offer has been confirmed;
- The customer accepted the proposed amount.
Until then, any estimate remains nonbinding.
7. Payment
Payment will be made using the method offered by UniverPhone at the time of the transaction.
Processing times may vary depending on:
- the chosen method;
- internal validation;
- peak times.
8. Refusal or Cancellation
UniverPhone may decline a transaction, particularly if:
- the device is locked;
- the device does not match the description;
- the device has unreported damage;
- ownership cannot be confirmed;
- The device is not eligible for the program.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, UniverPhone shall not be held liable for:
- data loss;
- indirect losses;
- delays caused by circumstances beyond its control.
10. Changes to the Terms and Conditions
UniverPhone may modify these terms at any time without notice. The version published on the website takes precedence.
